The thing is, if you are speaking in public with a cloth or surgical mask, you ARE harder to hear and understand. A lot of teachers are opting for the clear masks and I just ordered two for myself as I’m speaking at a conference at the end of the month and will be required to be masked. (The last time I spoke we were allowed to take them off, but this conference is smaller and has smaller rooms, so it’s not safe to do so).

So I can imagine instances where the kids kept asking the teacher to repeat things and the teacher takes their mask off in frustration.

Ergo, teachers should be provided with clear masks. If they still keep taking them off, then appropriate disciplinary action should be taken.
