They don't. They care about controlling women.
True pro life people are in favor of comprehensive sex education and easy access to contraceptions, in favor of reducing the cost to give birth, and often don't actually want to criminalize abortion because they are smart enough to know it won't stop abortions, just safe ones. They are extremely rare. You can generally find them by asking their opinion on the death penalty.
Conservatives want all women to be married to men, and the men decide when sex happens and when pregnancy happens. They also want to take away our right to vote, our right to have a career, etc.
Artificial wombs would be amazing. We do sort of have them in that there are trials of one which would be used for preemies...it's basically a bag you can stick a premature infant into until their lungs have finished developing. It's working well with sheep (which are a good test bed because they're prone to premature labor). This would save a lot of babies, especially in cases where premature labor may need to be induced before the age of viability, usually because of preeclampsia.
Full blown artificial uteruses are a long way away, though.
Another technology which we've mastered in other animals but not human is embryo transfer. Perfecting this in humans would allow for pre-birth adoption or the embryo to be transferred to a surrogate in the case of those extreme high risk pregnancies. (Pre-birth adoption is already happening in small numbers, of embryos that are surplus to requirements after fertility treatment).
But again, conservatives don't want to reduce abortions, just control women.
