This is an example of how even Black people internalize systematic racism, isn't it.

I don't have that reaction because I'm British and we have fewer Black people in general and I actually don't remember ever seeing a hotel housekeeper over there who wasn't white, although admittedly I tend to stay in B&Bs. The typical demographic of B&B keepers is white women or married couples. So it's not an expectation I grew up with. But it's absolutely one I can see being ingrained in some parts of the U.S. to the point where the racism is water a fish swims in.
