This is why I, a cis woman, wear a pronoun pin at larger events. I wear it on my lanyard so when somebody looks to see my name they see the pin too.

If only the trans people are wearing pins or stickers then the transphobes know who to target.

(I sometimes hope that when a TERF does show up they'll be paying so little attention they go all transphobe on me so I can call security on them before they hurt a trans person).

That said, some people are uncomfortable sharing pronouns and I don't want to put any pressure on them.

People ask why I do it when my pronouns are obvious, and that's always the answer I give. It's to make things easier for people who's pronouns might NOT be as obvious.
