This problem was caused by Amazon doing it wrong in the first place.

I suspect the IRS told them they have to do it this way, and it seems more correct based off of how everything else works.

However, Amazon could do everyone the favor of also providing a statement that shows you the total you paid to each narrator for the year. They have that data, it wouldn't be hard to generate and it would save everyone a ton of time.
