Virgin Atlantic used to give out a travel kit in a somewhat waterproof bag. I'm sad they don't any more...because the bag makes a great beach/pool bag. It worked for my pandemic trip where I traveled with just a small backpack because I did NOT want to have to wait around in the airport for checked luggage.

If you're staying in a hotel, don't bother taking toiletries. They throw the ones in your room away after your stay anyway, so you might as well use them. (Unless you have a sensitive skin or some other reason why you need to use your own stuff, obviously).
