We need to turn over the fire management to the indigenous people who retain the knowledge of how to do it correctly, and pay them well for doing so.

Fire in California is natural. It's weather. We need to build firebreaks around property, do proper prescribed burns, stop excessive suppression and plant more native vegetation that is evolved for the fire ecology.

(And for the love of all that's holy if you live in the west don't plant eucalyptus).
