When I object to having doors opened for me is when men RUSH to open the door and body check me to make sure I physically can't do it for myself...when I'm not holding anything. They come from behind in this rush.

I also get annoyed when they physically body check me away from elevator buttons.

At that point, it's not a courtesy, it's treating me as if I can't do anything for myself.

Absolutely open the door for people, but if you're rushing to open it for unburdened women...and nobody else...rethink why.

Thankfully, it seems fewer guys are doing this.
