When I was a kid and still a Christian, I had a Children's Bible for a while that carefully glossed over the various issues and emphasized the fun parts.

Then I graduated to an adult Bible and found that the real fun parts for me were the ones that gave insight into Hebrew law and culture. E.g. Leviticus.

Then I ditched Christianity. But not the fascination with how people live and might live in other circumstances.

But I am watching the Utah thing with popcorn. They deserve it...but I suspect sanitized children's Bibles will be the next step ;).
