Whenever I see "cis people" I know what they mean. They mean the great mass of us, not the rare individuals who have worked hard to be accepting. You're "not all men"ing the situation.

I too have some close trans (and non-binary) friends. I have friends who have trans and non-binary kids. I have worked hard not to be part of that great mass.

But that doesn't change the overall picture and in some ways trans people do indeed need to build their own safe spaces.
