Which is why I’m against job guarantee as an alternative to basic income. I know people who love and adore job guarantee and I’m like “So, what would the jobs be, then?”

(Note, I am not against using legitimate infrastructure issues to find people work. I wouldn’t, for example, be against a return of the CCC. If there’s work that needs to be done and people are needed to do it, any program that brings those two things together is good. But guaranteeing everyone a job pretty much ensures many of those jobs will be BS).
