Yeah. He's medicated and while you can tell (he has Cushing's coat) I suspect something else will kill him first.
He is a small dog, and he definitely has joint issues, he needs help negotiating stairs and such now, poor guy.
Horses are also somewhat prone to Cushing's. But I know a Shetland cross who has Cushing's *and* COPD and is like over 30, which is dang old for a horse, and every cold snap I expect him to drop dead, but somehow he keeps right on going begging everyone for attention. Needless to say he's not expected to do any work other than let little kids practice grooming him.
