Yes, they were invented to be antagonists that could be killed without guilt, but the idea of any sentient being being inherently "evil" is deeply offensive to many people.

That doesn't mean there aren't evil people in the world, or even evil cultures (although you have to be careful).

What I'm speaking out against is the idea that all orcs or drow are evil with extremely rare exceptions. Nobody is born evil.
