I can't and won't "get over" the Shoah either. Heck, I haven't gotten over the Clifford Tower Massacre and that was something like 800 years ago now. I sure as heck don't expect any of you to "get over" slavery.

The only way this ends is education. And we gotta start by educating ourselves, speaking as a white Jew. (Yes, Jews can, alas, be racist. You'd think we'd have learned, but noooo). And acknowledging that it is, in fact, a caste system is the first step towards dismantling it. Unfortunately most Americans I talk to don't understand that it is. How can you dismantle something you don't even see?
