I was at the SFWA Nebulas conference, our annual professional development conference, last week.

One of the panels was about writing other people's IP, and one of the people on it was a TV writer.

When the moderator asked what she had been doing lately, she answered "Nothing, I'm on strike."

The entire room erupted into applause. It was a very heartening moment.
