You mean like, I dunno, Birmingham, where my mother was a teacher and learned to speak Urdu so she could talk to the parents of her kids who didn’t have the best English yet. In the 1960s.

I look around plenty. The rising tide of Islamophobia in Europe, that was most definitely around when I was growing up in the British Midlands? That’s the problem, not those just trying to live their lives. There are radical extremists in every group.

I mean, I get plenty of hits on “Hindus destroying mosques.” Most of them in India due to long standing conflicts that I’m sure we made worse.

Like I said, I look around plenty, and I see more violence, ultimately, aimed at Muslims than perpetrated by them. Not saying the radical extremists shouldn’t be dealt with, obviously.
