Yup to there always being something wrong with the plane.
A lot of people don’t know this, but it’s possible (and sometimes necessary) to jump start an airliner. They have a special truck they bring out.
Jet engines have starter motors. Sometimes they don’t work.
Sometimes they disintegrate and destroy the engine…ahem.
